I am looking for a call and response or other liturgy/litany in which the congregation dismisses the children to children’s church during the sermon time of worship with the expectation that they will return after the sermon.

What about using picture words on cue cards for responses…a different child could hold a cue card each week:
One voice: We are a people of…
Many voices: FAITH
One voice: We are a people of…
Many voices: HOPE
One voice: We are a people of…
Many voices: LOVE.
